As everyone is aware, there are new safety measures in place due to Covid-19.
Below you will find a summary of the guidelines as they currently apply to the EKSP.
It is A LOT of information, please take some time to read this before your players first ice session

Safety Summary – Souris Savers
Contact tracing will be completed as you enter the building.
Players & spectators are strongly encouraged to wear their face masks as they enter and exit the rink. Non-medical masks are recommended when not on the ice surface and social distancing may not be permitted. This applies to the spectator zone as well.
Any player or parents with symptoms of Covid-19 should not enter the EKSP or attend ringette.
U12 players and younger must arrive at the rink wearing their gear. Helmets and skates can be put on once at the facility. Younger players can wear their skates w/guards and helmets to the rink if preferred. If not possible, there will be 2-3 designated adults available to assist the younger players.
Label water bottles, sticks and skate guards.
Players are allowed to enter the rink 20 minutes before their ice time and will depart 10-15 minutes after their session. After their session, players will have to remain in their dressing room until the ice maker signals that they can leave (this will be once the players for the next session are on the ice approx 10 min). A designated adult will stay in the dressing room until that time. Exiting quickly after ice sessions is very important to allow rink staff time to sanitize before the next group arrives.
There will be a limit on the number of players allowed in dressing rooms which may result in some having to put on their gear/skates in the hall.
1 parent/guardian per player only
There are 3 zones at the EKSP - ice surface, dressing rooms and spectator area. Please stay in your designated zone. ABSOLUTELY NO crossing from zone to zone is permitted.
A maximum of 40 people are allowed on the ice surface (players and coaching staff), Dressing Rooms - 40 people (players, coaching staff and designated parent helpers) and Spectators area - 40 people.
Parents/guardians are only allowed to enter the rink 5 minutes prior to the scheduled ice session and must exit immediately after. Parents are only permitted in the spectator zone (max = 40 people)
Please follow the signage & direction arrows to and from the dressing rooms, ice surface and viewing area. Sanitation stations will be available within the rink.
A required waiver will have to be completed by each athlete and returned to Souris Ringette. This will be emailed shortly. Please complete and return.
Protocols are subject to change based on the most current public health measures and will be communicated as necessary.
More details re: games will be shared shortly.
Last but not least, we are asking parents to please be patient in the first weeks as everyone figures out the “new normal” for ringette. And a gentle reminder to be kind to the EKSP staff and volunteers from the Souris Ringette Association who are working very hard to ensure our players get back on the ice safely and securely.
Thank you for your support!
